School Visit To Simply Shredding

Shredding In Schools DSCN1683.JPG DSCN1687.JPG DSCN1702.JPG DSCN1734.JPG

Simply Shredding Hull welcomed the pupils and teachers from the Enterprise Committee for Brandesburton Primary school along with their Enterprise Partner, Andy Hayes, from Indicoll during April 2016. Pupils were given empty shredding sacks to fill in advance before the visit so they could understand the process from start to finish and for every bag brought in a £1.00 donation was given to the Enterprise Committee as well as a chocolaty treat!

A brief introduction to the company was given to the pupils which included the services we provide for commercial and domestic client’s, as well as our continuing support to the Woodland Trust and helping them plant more trees for the environment, this was followed by an enthusiastic Q&A session.

One of the highlights for the pupils was been able to shred their own paperwork by feeding it through our industrial shredding machine, they then witnessed the shredded material drop down into the bailer ready for compressing, a completed bail was already prepared so the pupils could appreciate the whole cycle of the shredding process.

We hope the visit will inspire the pupils from the Brandesburton Enterprise Committee to keep up their great effort to raise funds for such things as school trips and resources and in addition to help develop their skills and understanding in business management. The team here at Simply Shredding Hull would like to thank all the eager pupils and teachers for their time and we hope to work with them again in the near future.
