Shredding Certificate
It is important that once you have sent confidential paperwork to be shredded that you are issued with a certificate of destruction. This should be kept on your computer as a record of all destructions that you have arranged and if necessary this can be shown to your own customers.
What should be included on a certificate of destruction ? Most things included are fairly obvious but in addition to the date if issue of the shredding certificate it should contain the following.
Date of collection and the collection address
The quantity collected and if the items are from bags, boxes, wheelie bins or shredding consoles
Date of destruction and the manager responsible for this
All Simply Shredding branches issue shredding certificates of destruction online and these are emailed instantly to clients following destruction; although hard copies can be posted should you not have access to the internet.
